• Friendly and informal nappy demonstration for anyone who is interested – expectant parent or those already using nappies.
• All welcome, no need to book!

Location: Hackney Central Library, 1 Reading Lane, London E8 1GQ
Timings: 10am – 11am (approx): reusable nappy information session and Q&A. From approx, 11am – 12pm the Wrap a Hug Sling Library will start their talk, just after the reusable nappy talk.

Join Hackney Nappy Network for a reusable nappy demonstration covering:

• The different types of reusable nappies
• Using reusable nappies with a newborn
• Washing and drying guidance
• Other local nappy initiatives
• Troubleshooting and practical advice

Nappy Ever After will also be there to provide information about their Hackney reusable nappy laundry service and shop.

Thanks to Hackney Council and the Real Nappies for London voucher scheme, eligible Hackney parents can claim a FREE £70 reusable nappy voucher. The voucher is available to expectant parents and parents or carers with a child under 18 months and can be claimed from a Hackney Council officer on the day or online via the Real Nappies for London website.

Sling Clinic with Mel from Wrap a Hug Sling Library – from 11am till 12pm.

Mel from Wrap a Hug Sling Library will be offering free 10-minute sling fit checks.

Please bring your own sling. If you would like to try one or two particular slings, this may be possible if arranged with Mel in advance. If you would like to explore a wider range of slings, you will need to book an appointment at the Bethnal Green Sling Library.

As the clinic can be busy, attendees may be grouped together where they need similar support. If your sling cannot be fitted safely or comfortably, Mel may recommend booking an appointment at the sling library or, where possible, hiring a suitable sling. Hire fees apply.

Advance registration for the sling clinic is required. Please contact Mel at Wrap a Hug before attending, letting her know which sling you have or would like to try.

The sling clinic is free to attend. As the sling library is not funded, voluntary donations to support the service are welcome.
