Bexley - Eco Library Tour @ Crayford Library, DA1 4FN

Join Bexley council at Crayford Library for National Allotment Week.  Free regular sustainable stalls and workshops.

COMPOST TALK @ 10:30 – 11.00am – how to make amazing compost, with experienced gardener John Hollands, plus a packet of free seeds to give away! Find out some top tips on how to create the best compost for your plants, with lots of great information and a chance to ask questions too. With seasonal tips and advice. Booking not essential but we would prefer to know numbers – this talk will take place at 10:30am. Or just drop in between 10-12 for an informal chat or advice.

KIDS/ADULT ACTIVITY – Decorate a plant pot and plant your own herbs to grown at home. Children and adults can make paper pots or decorate a plastic pot to make a unique item to take home or give away as a gift… suitable for ages 3+ . Booking not essential but advisable, or drop in any time.

Wasteless Market – recycle those more unusual items through the Wasteless Market, such as toothpaste tubes, crisp/biscuit packets, tablet blister packs for more information on what they can accept you can find them on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/wastelessmarket/

Toy Swap – donate or take for free children (toddler) toys. Please ensure they’re clean and in good condition. Please bring a maximum of 3 toys to swap. Only bring toys you are happy to donate and swap for another. The number of items that can be swapped will depend on the number of toys we get on the day, but everyone will be able to go home with at least one toy.
