What is Local Green Points:
Local Green Points is a Recycling Reward Scheme supported by Local Authorities to engage and motivate their residents to reduce waste, reuse more and recycle by giving residents the chance to earn points for throwing away less and recycling more.
How does it work:
The total amount of waste and recycling produced in your borough is measured and when less is thrown away and more is recycled, you and your local community are rewarded with Green Points. You can choose how you would like to spend your points, either donate as cash to local charities or put the points towards something for yourself.
