European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) is a Europe-wide initiative promoting the implementation of awareness-raising actions about sustainable resource and waste management during a single week from the 17th to 25th November. EWWR encourages a range of audiences to get involved.

Real Nappies for London is participating with EWWR to promote the advantages of reusable nappies as a way of waste prevention and reuse this November 2018:

Real Nappy Info Stall at the London Upcycling Show 2018 at Walthamstow Assembly Hall, Town Hall, Forest Road, London E17 4JF –  18th November 2018, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm

North London Waste Authority and Groundwork London are hosting the third London Upcycling Show at Walthamstow Assembly Hall. This event will include practical workshops, activities, demonstrations, and exhibitions. On the day Real Nappies for London will be holding a reusable nappy info stall to talk about the advantages of using reusable nappies and promote the voucher incentive scheme. Real Nappy Meet and Give & Take at The Roundchapel, Old School Rooms, E5 0PU – 21st November 2018, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

Hackney Real Nappy Network, in partnership with the London Borough of Hackney and Real Nappies for London, will be hosting their popular Real Nappy Meet and Give & Take event at The Roundchapel Old School Rooms. The event provides a collaborative platform for parents to meet up and pass on pre-loved, good quality real nappies, baby clothes and/or maternity clothes that are no longer being used. Parents can take away items for free and receive a real nappy demo and information about the voucher incentive scheme.

Real Nappy Demo and Info Stall at Brixton Library, SW2 1JQ – 22nd November 2018, 2:15 pm – 3:15 pm

Real Nappies for London in partnership with the London Borough of Lambeth and Veolia Lambeth will be hosting a reusable nappy demo with information stall at Brixton Library. Taking place after Baby Rhyme Time, parents will be able to learn about the three main types of reusable nappies, the benefits of making the switch to reduce waste of single-use disposable nappies and receive practical information on how to use, wash and dry reusable nappies. Parents with a baby under 18 months living in Lambeth can apply for a free £40 real nappy voucher.
