Nappy Laundry Services

Laundry services are a great way to start out with reusable nappies, or for ongoing use for families who don’t feel able to take on extra washing or lack drying space. These services provide 100% cotton nappies, delivering clean ones to your door on a weekly basis and taking the dirty ones away to be professionally laundered to NHS standards.

HOW THE SERVICE WORKS

All three services use 100% cotton nappies (prefolds – though Nappy Ever After also offers fitted nappies). For a weekly payment ranging between £12 and £20 depending on the service, you will be provided with a set of clean nappies each week, dropped to your door, with dirties taken away to be professionally laundered. You can use your reusable nappy voucher towards the cost of the service. 

You will need waterproof wraps to go over the cotton nappies. You can either purchase them yourself, or hire them from your service provider, or in the case of Nappio, waterproof wraps are included in the weekly price. These wraps are washed by you at home – they can be washed at 30-40 degrees with other laundry and dry very quickly. 

Once a week on the agreed day, your service provider will pick up the dirty nappies and replace them with enough clean nappies to last you a week. The delivery is either carried out by bike (Nappio, Nappy Ever After) or by van (Number One for Nappies). The cotton nappies are laundered using professional processes which sanitise the nappies in with Environmental Health Department standards and NHS guidelines.
