Newborn Kits
Newborn nappies will fit from around 8 lbs (3.6kg) up to around 12 – 18 lbs (5.4 – 8 kg) depending on the brand. They are for the first month or two after birth.
Lizzie's Real Nappies - Newborn Kit
This newborn nappy kit has been put together for those people looking for a mix of different newborn nappy types – allowing you to compare and contrast many of the different options available. The value of the kit is £50 so is ideal for those wanting to use their £50 Real Nappies for London scheme voucher and want to keep things nice and easy. If you’d prefer to choose your own nappies that’s absolutely fine too.
Most of these nappies will fit from around 8lbs (3.6kg) up to around 12-18lbs (5.4-8kg) depending on the brand. They are therefore only for the first weeks after birth. They will be nice and neat on newborn babies but will be outgrown reasonably quickly. Once outgrown you will then move on to the ‘One-size’ nappies which fit from around 10lbs (4.5kg) through to potty training.
The newborn kit includes:
- 1 x Motherease Uno Newborn stay-dry (6-12lbs / 2.7-5.4kg). If you’d prefer the organic cotton version of this nappy just let us know in the notes section. This is a very slim, super-easy to use nappy.
- 1 x Baba & Boo Newborn (up to 18lbs /8kg) Another easy to use nappy but with a little more growing room.
- 1 x Motherease Sandy, unbleached cotton, small (8-20lbs /3.6-9kg). A 2-part nappy to be used with the Motherease Airflow wrap. Gives excellent containment.
- 1 x Easy Peasy Newborn Eco Bimble (7-15lbs) Another 2-part nappy to be used with the Motherease Airflow wrap and a Nappi Nippa. Gives excellent containment. Great value.
- 1 x Motherease Airflow Waterproof wrap, small (8-12lbs). Great quality waterproof cover to be used over the Sandy and Eco-Bimble.

The Washable Nappy Company - Newborn Kit - Mix of All Modern Systems
6 nappies – one size: size: newborn 5lbs – 18lbs / 2.3 – 8.1kg. This kit has a mix of styles and brands and will fit from 5lbs upwards. If you want to give cloth a go at the beginning and try out all the different modern styles then this kit is ideal. Personally, I would not buy any more in ‘newborn’ sizes going forward as it can be costly, however it is great to have slim, reliable, good fitting nappy right from the word go. This kit is also ideal if you are having multiples or are expecting a small baby. A mix of ‘all in one’, ‘all in two’ and ‘two part’ nappies in small sizes. Lizzie’s Real Nappies – Easy Kit
For people wanting to try a range of easy-to-use, birth to potty nappies that fit from 10 – 35lbs (4.5 – 16kg) so may be a little loose fitting on newborns. If you get any leakage, wait until baby has put a little weight on and try again. The kit includes:
- 1 x Motherease Uno Onesize – an ‘all-in-one’ nappy – one of the most easy to use and reliable nappies on the market.
- 1 x BumGenius Original V5 – This is a ‘pocket nappy’ where you stuff inserts inside the sewn pocket to give it its absorbency. Very easy to use and reliable. Could be swapped for the Bumgenius Freetime (an all-in-one option from Bumgenius) if preferred. Just leave a message under ‘notes’.
- 1 x Baba & Boo Onesize – a slightly cheaper, pocket nappy option.

Lizzie's Real Nappies - Compare Nappy Types
For those looking for a mix of different nappy types allowing you to compare and contrast many of the different options available. If you’d prefer to choose your own nappies that’s absolutely fine too. The kit includes:
- 1 x Motherease Uno Onesize As an ‘all-in-one’ nappy this is one of the most easy to use and reliable nappies on the market*
- 1 x Little Lamb sized pocket nappy. This pocket nappy is a cheaper option than Uno above. Unlike the Uno, which fits from around 4.5-16kg), these come in 2 sizes. Select the small size 3.2-9kg (7-20lbs) or larger size 9-16kg (20-35lbs) on the menu.
- 1 x unbleached Motherease Sandy small (8-20lbs). As a ‘2-part nappy’ the Sandy only provides the absorbency part of the nappy – you’ll need to use a separate waterproof wrap over the top such as the Airflow wrap (below). If you’d prefer the large size (20-35lbs) just let us know.
- 1 x Muslinz 60 x 60 terry square (to be folded and used with the Motherease Airflow wrap and a Nappi Nippa). If you have an older child and would prefer to take a booster pad in it’s place let us know.
- 1 x Motherease Airflow wrap small (8-20lbs). Provides the waterproof element to go over the Motherease Sandy and terry square. If you’d prefer a larger size just let us know).
- We will also include instructions and a mix of disposable and washable nappy liners for you to try.

This kit has been put together for those people, on a tighter budget, looking for a mix of different nappy types – allowing you to compare and contrast many of the different options available. If you’d prefer to choose your own nappies that’s absolutely fine too. The kit includes: 6 absorbent nappies. Choose: size 1 (approx 3.5-9kg / 8.20lbs) or size 2 (approx 9-16kg / 20-35lbs)
- 1 x Easy Peasy Bimbles plus a Nappi Nippa to fasten them
- 2 x Muslinz 60 x 60 terry square (to be folded and fastened with a Nappi Nippa). If you have an older child and would prefer to take a booster pad in their place let us know.

Nappy Ever After
Our most popular trial pack of flat, shaped and pocket nappies – use them for a few days and find out which nappies work best for you!
To really find out what works for you it’s best to try out the different types. This bundle works from new born and most items can be used until your baby potty trains.
These 6 nappies will be enough to get your baby through about 18 hours worth of changes. Then put in washing machine and use single-use nappies until your reusables are clean and dry.
