Why Switch to Reusable Nappies
In the first 2.5 years of a baby’s life, they will have gone through at least 4,000 nappy changes. In London, the majority of these nappy changes will be of the single-use variety and thrown away to be incinerated. Parents choose to use reusable nappies for three main reasons:

If you are a parent/carer with a baby under 24 months, or parent-to-be, living in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, you can apply for one of the following reusable nappy packs:
Reusable Nappy Pack 1: Birth-to-potty nappy pack containing:
- One newborn nappy
- One ‘one size’ nappy
- Roll of disposable liners
- One large zipped wet bag
OR
Reusable Nappy Pack 2: One size nappy pack containing:
- Two ‘one size’ nappies
- One roll of Disposable liners
- One large zipper wet bag
