TOY SWAP
Did you know it is estimated that in the UK the average spend per child on toys is £294 annually!
Want to get a new toy for your child without spending money and helping the environment? Then join us at this friendly community event.
Please bring toys that are in good condition. Please bring a maximum of 3 toys to swap. Only bring toys you are happy to donate and swap for another. The number of items that can be swapped will depend on the amount of toys we get on the day, but everyone will be able to go home with at least one toy.
The event organisers do not take any responsibility for any broken/damaged toys. It is the carers responsibility to ensure they are suitable for the age and ability of the child and are fit for purpose. Further disclaimers see below.
If you have a larger toy that is in need of minor repair work, cleaning or replacement parts then please bring one with you, with prior notice. We will be handing these toys to local charitable organisation ‘Turn around Toys Bexley’. This charitable organisation restores toys to a “ready to play” state and then donates them to services and community groups that benefit children in the London Borough of Bexley. REUSABLE NAPPIES
Did you know washable nappies can save you approximately £780 per child! Come along to The Exchange, where you will be shown a large range of nappies and ask lots of questions about how they work and why to use them. There will starter sets available for you spend your nappy voucher on if you wish to get started there and then!
* To be eligible for a voucher you must provide proof of address and live within the London borough of Bexley, plus show proof of pregnancy or Birth of your baby under the age of 18 months. Eg a Matb1 form, Maternity Exemption card or Baby Birth Certificate.
