It's important to be prepared for potty training so you can tell when your toddler is ready. Here are

Have you considered introducing a potty at an early age? This approach - known as Natural Infant Hygiene, Elimination Communication (ec) or Diaper-free can be used from birth and is often more practical than it might at first seem.
